Shape the Future With Us at Framing Technology
At Framing Technology, we design and assemble aluminum extrusion systems and their related components — building the frameworks that power innovation. As our company continues to grow, we’re looking for strong leaders who can inspire teams, drive excellence, and keep our standards high. If you’re ready to be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking environment, this is where your next chapter begins.

The CNC Department Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency within our machining operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this individual oversees daily CNC department activities while also taking a hands-on role in programming and operating equipment.

We are seeking a natural leader who can guide and mentor team members through collaboration and clear communication by fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing work environment. The ideal candidate will be confident in addressing challenges and resolving conflicts tactfully and professionally, ensuring smooth workflow and strong team cohesion.

This position also requires a creative problem-solver with the technical expertise to push our CNC operators and equipment to their full potential. The CNC Supervisor will play a critical role in finding innovative solutions, continuously improving processes, and maintaining our commitment to producing high-quality finished parts free from errors or defects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the CNC team, fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment while setting clear expectations for performance and quality.

  • Supervise CNC Operators, ensuring daily tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.

  • Program and operate CNC equipment, including waterjet, router, hydraulic press brake, vertical & horizontal mills, and lathe, based on SolidWorks drawings and customer specifications.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and expand the capabilities of CNC machinery.

  • Take a solutions-focused approach to challenges, working with leadership and team members to resolve issues professionally and constructively.

  • Ensure production goals are met by completing projects according to the established plan and calendar schedule.

  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate ongoing training programs to build team skills and knowledge.

  • Manage and maintain tooling for the CNC department, ensuring availability and proper condition.

  • Oversee CNC equipment maintenance and coordinate with management or technicians to schedule repairs as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date material inventory to support production needs.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns, production issues, or quality feedback related to CNC operations.

  • Promote and enforce a clean, organized, and safe working environment, upholding company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; technical certificate or higher degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in CNC programming with hands-on expertise in operating a variety of equipment (e.g., waterjet, router, hydraulic press brake, mills, lathe).

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor, guide, and motivate team members in a collaborative, respectful environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a track record of implementing solutions that improve efficiency and quality.

  • Working knowledge of machinery, measurement tools, and engineering drawings, with the ability to translate customer specifications into accurate programs.

  • Experience managing workflow in a production or warehouse environment, balancing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Effective communicator with the interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts constructively and maintain strong team cohesion.

Benefits:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 4% 401K match after one year of employment

  • No-cost short-term disability and life insurance

  • Generous sick and vacation plans
